Tad (Tadpole) American Staffordshire Terrier Puppy Male in Wakefield, Rhode Island

My story

Age: 8 months (as of 08/18/21) Weight: 49.6 lbs (as of 08/25/21)

This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

Tad loves toys, especially ones that squeak!

This affectionate, playful boy appears to be an American Staffordshire Terrier mix. This handsome breed is known to be smart, confident good-natured companions.

Tad, also known as Tadpole, loves all of us adult humans but we don’t know how he is with kids. He gets along great with other dogs and we don’t yet know how he is with cats. He loves to go for rides in the car and can’t wait to join you on an adventure. Tad is a pretty quiet boy but you might hear him bark when playing or when he thinks he needs to get your attention.

His foster mom said he was almost completely housetrained in less than a week, what a smart boy! He is now focused on crate training and walking on the leash and we think he will pick up these skills just as quickly.

He loves playing with toys and think he would greatly benefit from a fenced yard where he can run and play to burn off some energy, but if a fence isn’t available, he will need he will need daily leash walks and opportunities for off-leash play in a fenced area. We recommend that you and Tad sign up for some dog training classes together, ideally in the first 30 days or so of bringing him home. Group training classes are a great way to reinforce important skills, learn some new tricks, and get some quality socialization time with other furry friends.

Tad is a sweet, smart, and happy boy who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make his dream come true? Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family!

Tad's story: We don't know a lot about this handsome playful boy other than he was found as a stray. He is now living with a loving foster family and doing great!
