My story

Coco 80s Baby loves everyone she meets!

This beautiful girl is going to be the perfect addition to someone's home!  She is happy to meet and play with other dogs, cats, kids of all ages and all adults - she is just one friendly, outgoing girl! Coco appears to be a Silver Lab and Terrier mix about 2 ½ years old with a beautiful smooth blue brindle and white coat.

She is a recent mom of nine healthy and happy puppies, all named after rock bands from the 1980s and thus the litter became known as 80s Babies. All of her pups have found their forever homes and now it’s Coco’s turn.

Coco is house trained, crate trained, and walks great on the leash.  Looking for a walking or hiking partner? If so, Coco is the dog for you! She rides well in the car and would love to join you on an adventure. Her current foster family regularly takes Coco camping with their two young children and she loves being outdoors and meeting people.

A fenced yard would be ideal so Coco could run and play safely, but if that's not available he'll need lots of leash walks and opportunities for off-leash play in a fenced area. We recommend that you and Coco sign up for some dog training classes together, ideally in the first 45 days or so of bringing her home. Group training classes are a great way to reinforce important skills, learn some new tricks, and get some quality socialization time with other furry friends.

Coco is a gentle happy girl who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make her dream come true? Fill out an application today and let her know that you'd love to have her join your family!

Coco’s story: She was found as a pregnant stray. A caring family took her in to have her puppies and later reached out to a loving rescue organization for help in finding homes for Coco and her pups.

Medical Note: This dog has been treated for heartworm disease with melarsomine injections. Once treatment is completed and the dog tests negative for microfilaria, the dog will be cleared to resume normal activity and able to be adopted. Untreated heartworm disease can cause lasting damage to the heart, lungs and arteries, and can affect the dog’s health and quality of life even after the parasites are gone, possibly presenting as medical complications and/or new conditions in the future. This dog showed no symptoms of heartworm disease before or during treatment. A good resource for more information on heartworm disease is: /pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics.
